We found out the 14 year old furnace in the house we had just purchased needed a new motor plus as it was the original furnace put in by the builder when the house was built, and wasn’t of great quality, we made the decision to buy a new furnace and to buy it from Francis Home Heating. In less then 24 hours, installation was complete, the old furnace was removed, the excellent cleanup done and our house was warm again. The two technicians, Ahmad and John were excellent- worked well together, quickly and thoroughly. Very knowledgeable as well. Overall, one of the best repair experiences we had ever had. Highly recommend this company.

Nicole was excellent. She clearly knew what she was doing and thoroughly cleaned both of our fireplaces. We just moved into our new home and I like to maintain our equipment properly. It was good to get them done and looking cleaner and neater. We’ll do it again in two years’ time. I like Francis because there’s no hard sell. The staff are well-informed, polite and pleasant to deal with.

Short version: Hired Francis for duct cleaning. They came with no tools, used our equipment, made a mess of our ceiling, filled the house with dust, and had to send a supervisor (who was dumbfounded by the way the work had been completed) the next day to finish the work. The first crew acknowledged the work was horribly done, apologized for what happened, and stayed they "kept making worst with the more they did". The supervisor asked Francis for compensation to have our basement cleaned, which was a minimal request given the circumstances, but head office stated "we are not responsible for anything". Wow!
Long version:
Although the ducts could have been accessed through the furnace room the workers suggested we cut a hole in the ceiling for easier access during future cleanings. They said “they are used to doing this, they have the equipment, etc.” During the cutting of the hole, they kept coming up against one problem after another. The workers would cut without measuring; they just kept plowing ahead, rushing to get it done. At one point they realized they not only needed to cut through a layer of drywall, but also particle board. They seemed confused and unsure of what to do. They called their office/manager, who told them to cut through the particle board. For this purpose, they did not have the appropriate saw, and had to borrow our tools, as they were not properly equipped and they would have had to return to the shop to pick up their saw.
Once the hole was finally cut (after at least 2 hours of sawing through with our tool, and creating a fairly extensive dusty mess, they cleaned the ducts, and did some minimal vacuuming. We had to purchase a series of new blades.
When it was time to cover the hole, they realized they did not have the proper cap. They kept suggesting that we (the customer) should just go buy a new cap and they could install it. We told them this was their area of expertise and we wanted them to complete the job. They drove back to the shop to pick up the right size, after an hour ride there and back, they said they did not have the proper size at the shop.
The workers were very polite, worked hard and stayed quite late but did horrible work. They apologized for “how badly the job went” and admitted they had made many mistakes and “made things worst as they went”.
The next day, a new technician came, clearly very competent and good at what they did. They immediately took note of the drywall dust everywhere and said it was terribly messy (dust everywhere, scuffed ceiling and scratches, hand prints on walls). They agreed that getting compensation for a professional cleaning would be reasonable. They said that the hole made was an “awful job” and that they did not even use a template, or a straight line and could not believe how badly it was done. And, they did have the right size for the cap, they just did not know how to install it, but given how badly the job was done they would have to also cut more ceiling, again with our tools (electric tools and vacuum, although they did eventually go and get their own vacuum). This created even more dust all over. Because the job was so badly done to begin with the cap “barely fits” and the cut is still very badly done and we will have to have the whole thing refinished. They however, spent a good amount of time vacuuming, but this does not take out all the dust in our furniture, which they never covered.

We are very pleased with the work Andrew and his team provided with the installation of our new AC unit
The job was very well done, Andrew was very pleasant and knowledgeable when answering any questions we asked and provided straight forward answers
When working both inside and out they were very clean and left nothing for us to do at all. Andrew was a wonderful representative for Francis Home Environment and did a wonderful job, both professionally and also on a personal level. I would highly recommend him, his team and Francis home environment for any other work that we may require

We couldn’t be happier with the Francis Home environnement team!
We had a heat pump installed and it was impeccable service from sales to installation. Bas the sales rep was super friendly and answered all my questions in a parient manner.
The installation team consisted of 3 people and they were prompt, courteous and friendly throughout the whole day! The thing that impressed me the most was how clean and tidy they left the working space and they even rolled up the red carpet prior to starting.
Wow! I won’t hesitate to hire them again!
