1 star is too high in my opinion
Awful company, basically scamming and trying to take advantage of their customers. I'm trying to get out of a rental contract with them, which ended 2 years ago. But the hot water tank is stuck in my basement, won't fit up the stairs. It is disconnected and drained and I have a new tank Installed. I've spend probably 20+ hours of my personal time, on the phone and in person to resolve this.. have tried to be accommodating and easy to work with, but I've only been shown neglect and disrespect.
I called the company to come pick up the water tank in December 2023, they failed to remove the tank, and I'm still being charged monthly for this service. They also promised to resolve the issue, follow up and rebook etc. But nothing happened.
I visited their branch in Ottawa twice since then, once in February, once in May. (took time out of my work day). They said that they would follow up and resolve this issue. Nothing happened, no phone call, no email.
Booked another tank pickup on Tuesday may 28th. And the technicians failed again to remove the tank. Said they would follow up and rebook. Nothing happened.
Called them today may 31st to sort this out and they said there is only 1 solution to the problem; I have to buy out the hot water tank for $350. One final shakedown before a customer says goodbye.
Not a complicated problem to fix. Cut the 12 year old water tank (which is scrap metal pretty much)in half and take it up the stairs, or just end the contract. Leave the tank where it is. But I guess they need to get corporate involved in such a major decision..
Think I'm gonna go find myself a good lawyer for these crooks.

He meticulously replaced the gas valve, flame sensor, and solenoid, and even took the time to thoroughly clean the flame sensor to ensure everything was in top condition. Sam also performed additional tests, like a soap test, to double-check that everything was safe and functioning properly before leaving. It’s rare to find such dedication and attention to detail these days!
What truly impressed me was Sam’s commitment to solving the problem. Despite the complexity, he didn’t leave until he was confident that everything was working flawlessly. I felt reassured knowing he was handling the repairs with such care and precision. His professionalism and expertise are a true asset to Reliance.

We had our hot water heater replaced today. Two wonderful men, Rupinder and Aidan arrived are our house and immediately started the process. They ran into a couple of problems but informed us immediately and we discussed the solutions. They set everything up for us and arranged appointments for the follow up. At all times they were very personable and friendly. We highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you for such good work.

This was the best experience I ever had by far using reliance. This last year, I have had some very questionable calls of service to my home where I questioned the value of my package. Today we were met with such a courteous, helpful plumber. The insured he did the best job he could for our family before he left. Happy we called and got him today! Mackenzie was a great worker and had exceptional customer service. I will personally ask for him next time I call.
